We are keeping a close watch on information about the new virus that has been spreading around the world, and exploring appropriate steps on our part to protect the health of our students and staff. We will continue to monitor this situation for so long as this infection remains a growing threat.
We have read the assessments and advice of various national and world experts and consulted with trusted local professionals. Based on what we have learned so far, we have decided to make some initial risk-reduction changes to our standard practices and policies as follows:
We believe that these policies and practices will enable us to provide high-quality coaching even during this period in which the risks associated with the virus are high. As the weather continues to improve, we will be shifting more of our coaching outside to the course because that environment offers plenty of open space with limited contact with others.
We will continue to study the situation and make any necessary changes in the future to continue to protect our students and staff. Our goal is to do our part in slowing down the transmission of the virus and to be helpful to those in our community.
Thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions that might be helpful.

- All staff and students will be instructed to wash their hands first thing upon entering the facility from outside, as recommended by the CDC. At times that will mean waiting for a washroom to free up, but hand washing should not be skipped.
- To reduce the number of outside visitors at the facility, guests other than parents of students will not be allowed in the facility. For parents that wish to accompany their child in a lesson, please help us set a good example by washing your hands upon entering the facility and keeping a safe social distance from staff and other students.
- At least twice per day, we will be cleaning (with appropriate disinfectants) surfaces that students and staff are likely to touch while in the facility. We will also be taking other precautions to eliminate the sharing of golf balls, golf clubs, etc.
- During lessons and other sessions, we will adhere to “social distancing” as best as can. Golf seems like a sport in which maintaining social distance is most easily accomplished.
- No one with relevant symptoms (such as fever, cough, sneezing, sore throat, or breathing difficulties) will be allowed in the Center. If you or your child are exhibiting any of these symptoms, please call or text your coach to reschedule your session to a time in the future when symptoms have disappeared. We understand that there might be some medical circumstances that need further discussion. We will consider these on a case-by-case basis.
- If any of our golf students or student’s immediate family has been in physical proximity to someone who has tested positive (or presumptively positive) to the new virus, please contact us to explain the situation and reschedule lessons, and refrain from entering our facility until such time as those affected have completed the CDC recommended quarantine or the appropriate medical care to complete recovery.
- Likewise, if any of our students or student’s immediate family has recently traveled internationally, please contact us in advance of returning to the Center for your next scheduled lesson.
We believe that these policies and practices will enable us to provide high-quality coaching even during this period in which the risks associated with the virus are high. As the weather continues to improve, we will be shifting more of our coaching outside to the course because that environment offers plenty of open space with limited contact with others.
